Make the Preview function match the actual appearance in IG

For those of us who heavily curate, it's difficult to translate the Later Preview feature into what we're going to see in IG because the timing is not connected.  Preview should take into account precisely where we are in our feed when assembling a preview for us. Before you say that's what it already does, check out the two screen shots i've attached. See the difference? The IG display, for example, shows the French Missal all the way to the left, because it's the most recently uploaded item.  But the Preview shows it all the way to the right.  I know you're only starting with the items on that page, but right off the bat the position is wrong:  The Christmas postcard with the deer that starts the page should be in the MIDDLE Position to keep everything on target but it's the left.  So in my mind I have to transfer everything into the right spot. Yes, they are in the right order, but order isn't the only thing that matters.

Currently, showing steamdb "used" isn't helpful since you can't view by channel.

Yes. Agreed. Very confusing. The point of preview is to that you can see if the picture will look good in your instagram feed at this moment, not two posts from now. Solving the "now" would automatically take care of the "future". I'm definitely looking at other instagram planning sites.  I would never upgrade on later becuase of this issue.

Oh gawd... YES, please!!! This drives me crazy, and is almost enough to make me quit Later altogether...

From discussions with the support team, I understand that in order for the preview pane to match my Insta feed, I have to schedule posts in batches of three. Even when I do that however, every time I move, add, or remove a post - my entire preview still shuffles - messing up the order & rendering the preview essentially useless.

There must be a way to 'lock' the position of posts that are already live on my Insta feed, so that only the posts I am scheduling now will shuffle...

This function, combined with the ability to 'lock' specific posts to specific time-slots would be an absolute game-changer, and would make Later hands-down, the best in the business!

I would still suggest that it match where we are NOW - not where we will be when all currently scheduled posts are posted. The reason for this is that there is no "all" really - scheduling is an ongoing process. Just because I have four days' worth of posts on the schedule doesn't mean I'm going to stop posting after 4 days; it just means that's all I have time to do right now. So matching it to my final item on the schedule doesn't really tell me what I need to know. I need to know what it will look like in 4 days, which is not the same thing as starting in the left corner and working backward, because you're not starting from where I am today. The only way to be on the same page is to START from the same page. So in my opinion the preview should begin at the exact point where we are when we pull up the preview, i.e.: if my last post is currently in the middle box at the top of the page on IG, I want to position it in the middle box at the BOTTOM of the preview and go forward up the page from there, even if that doesn't fill up all the preview boxes. If filling up all the boxes is a requirement, then I want the preview to go back as far as it needs to in order to leave my current post in a center position (assuming that's where it is right now, in real time, as I call up the preview).

You may have gotten a previous message on this - please ignore that one.

We arrange the preview based on the top-left post - ie. your most distant-future scheduled post.  So this will dictate the left/middle/right position of all your existing IG posts.  Thus, this produces an accurate preview of their positions when all your scheduled posts are posted.

Hopefully that makes sense.  Given that, how would you suggest making that positioning different?
